Tumor register at the LKH Klagenfurt
Klagenfurt, October 2, 2007
The state hospital (LKH) Klagenfurt established the first tumor register system 20 years ago, which is used for possible prevention- and aftertreatment-measures for the disease cancer. The increasing number of data and the not state-of-the-art architecture were the reasons for the responsible persons looking for a replacment.
Groiss Informatics satisfied their needs with the base-system @enterprise. Because of special adaption an effective system was developed for managing the tumor cases. Long-term availability of stored data, enforced integration of the intra- and extramurale sector via electronic media, the creation of structured, digital forms and an automated enquiry-system were some important targets. The detailed documentation of aftertreatment is also an important point to get key data of the cancer-therapy, e.g. response rate, duration until the next thearapy starts, influence for life-quality, etc.
