Java-Client

As an alterative to the standard web-client
we offer a Java Swing based client, which maximizes ease of use.
  • Comfortable
Throgh the use of latest Java-Swing technology, a client that is well suited for heavy users because of its ergonomic handling properties. The Windows Look & Feel provides for quick and seamless user orientation.
Documents can be edited by a simple double-click, the communication with the workflow server completely runs in the background (Check In/Check Out). Handling of HTML forms
is just as easy. Every user can access his processes everytime and alternately via a HTML- or Java-client.
  • Fast
An important point is the speed of the system: Our caching dramatically decreases the response time of long worklists (re-sort, edit, change of view without access to the server). The notification-mechanism, which is based on JMS (Java Message Service) or JGroups, facilitates immediate awareness of
worklist changes - no explicit or periodic refresh requests to the server are necessary. This architecture is perfect for time-critical applications. By using multicast it is possible to address hundreds clients without substantial utilization of the network.
  • Configurable
Every customer can adapt his client, because of an open architecture. The look (tabs, trees) and the functional range (menus) of the Java-clients can be changed simply by editing a XML based configuration. Mutltiple configurations are possible simultaneously, so that user-groups can use different tailored Java-clients.
  • User settings
Every user can configure his client by creating user folders where he can store his worklist items. With the help of these folders it is possible to structure the personal worklist as familiar from mail clients. Furthermore users can create folders where links to processes can be stored to allow for quick and easy access to information about the progress of business processes.
